The Longevity IssueEditorial design and art direction for the first Longevity Special Issue by Bloomberg Businessweek. Stories range from the scientists working on reversing menopause, to an out there photo essay on an Arizona based cryogenics lab. When thinking about longevity and aging, the visual themes of ascension and descension were stuck in my head, and resulted in the type growing and shrinking in size and placement. To round out this concept of ascension and its relation to growing old, I ordered the features in the issue to coincide with where they happen in the human lifespan, causing articles on conditions like Parkinsons to be toward the end of the book, and the cryogenics photo essay being the final feature.
